Residents and Government Employees
Fingerprinting is a courtesy the Vernon Hills Police Department (VHPD) provides free of charge (for up to two cards) for its residents and employees of government entities located in Vernon Hills. With identification, these individuals can come to the station any time and generally Wednesdays and Thursdays are preferred. Please note that you are required to provide your own fingerprint card(s). Fingerprinting will be conducted based on staff availability.
The VHPD will also take LIVESCAN prints for governmental employees or other entities that have LIVESCAN set up with us.
Non-Residents and Private Employers
For any non-resident or employee of a private business who wishes to be fingerprinted, there is a $30 cash fee (for up to two cards). With identification, these individuals can come to the station any time and generally Wednesdays and Thursdays are preferred. Please note that you are required to provide your own fingerprint card(s). Fingerprinting will be conducted based on staff availability.
Fingerprinting for Illinois Concealed Carry License/Immigration/Visa
The Department does not fingerprint anyone who wishes to obtain an Illinois Concealed Carry License or for immigration/visa purposes.
