Flags covered by the Illinois Flag Display Act will be flown at half-staff in honor of Patriot Day on Thursday, September 11.

Patriot Day is a national day of remembrance and service to honor the 2977 people killed in the September 11, 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington, DC, and the commercial jet that crashed in Pennsylvania.
