The Village of Vernon Hills works to create a welcoming, inclusive, equitable, accepting and safe community for all people. The Village joins with municipalities and organizations around the world in proclaiming June as Pride Month. To that end, members of the community are charged with eliminating prejudice wherever it exists by accepting all residents as equal as we honor our diversity through this celebration of our LGBTQ+ community.
Thank you to members of the community for continuing to support and encourage an environment of respect, safety and celebration. During June, you will see Pride banners placed on light posts around the Village. Special thanks to the Vernon Hills High School students who helped design those beautiful banners.
