Invitation to Bidders

Invitation to Bid.   The Village of Vernon Hills, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL (“Owner”) invites sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work described in detail in the Contract and generally described as follows: Village Hall Siding Replacement. 1. Instruction to Bidders. The Bidding Documents and full sets of plans may be viewed and downloaded free of charge online at www.kluberplanroom.com under “Public Jobs.”  Printed copies of plans and specifications may be obtained for the cost of reproduction as indicated on the project website. Bids should be submitted at the Village Hall at 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061 in sealed envelopes that are clearly labeled on the outside - “Village Hall Siding Replacement.” There should be 2 copies provided of the proposal in the sealed envelope. 2. Bid Opening. Owner will receive sealed Bidder’s Proposals for the Work until 10:00 AM, March 24, 2026 at Owners office listed above, at which time all Bidder’s Proposals will be publicly opened and read aloud.  Late bids will be returned unopened. 3. Bid Security, Bond and Insurance. A. Bid Security. A Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid shall be required.   The security deposit shall be in the form of (1) a Cashier’s Check or Certified Check payable without condition to VILLAGE or (2) a Bid Bond in the form included in the bid package from a surety company licensed to do business in the State of Illinois with  general rating of A and a financial size category of Class III or better in Best’s Insurance Guide. B. Insurance. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish certificates and policies of insurance as required by the Contract upon award of the Contract.
