College, collaborators to host book discussions, hikes focusing on Midwest nature lover and scientist
Explore nature, build creative writing skills and learn how a Midwestern nature lover broke gender barriers to become a renowned scientist in a series of fall events sponsored by the College of Lake County, in collaboration with local libraries and the Lake County Forest Preserve District. CLC’s international film series kicks off Sept. 13
Four highly acclaimed international films will be presented for free at 7 p.m. on three Fridays and one Thursday by the College of Lake County Center for International Education. The Fall Semester films are: “Zama” Sept. 13, “Burning” Oct. 4, “Rififi” Nov. 21 and “Shoplifters” Dec. 6.

Grants, gifts to support health care career services and counseling services
The College of Lake County will offer at least 34 scholarships for students in health care career fields this fall while adding a staff member in CLC’s Counseling and Psychological Services department, thanks to two grants from the Healthcare Foundation of Northern Lake County and a relationship with Cancer Treatment Centers of America.® For more detials, visit https://tinyurl.com/y6zffb22.
