National Night Out

The Vernon Hills Police Department invites you to the 23rd Annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 4pm to 8pm at Hartmann Park, 292 Oakwood Drive (south of Rt. 45).

On this date throughout the nation, over 38 million people in over 16,500 communities will join forces to:

  • promote police-community partnerships
  • band against crime, drugs and violence
  • promote safety
  • enhance neighborhood unity

This is a completely free event for our residents and involves food (while it lasts), music, jumping fun, face painting, bookmobile, games and more!

For the last 14 years, the VHPD has also held a sand volleyball tournament to help promote these ideals.  Come out and watch us take on teams from Target, the Lake County Depke youth facility, the Summer Celebration Committee and the community.

Our local sponsors this year include Target, A-Z Entertainment, Record-A-Hit, Chick-fil-A, Tricoci University of Beauty Culture, AT&T and the Countryside Fire Protection District.

A special thank you to the Vernon Hills Park District, the Vernon Hills Public Works Department and the Cook Memorial Library!

We hope to see you there!

(If the weather decides not to cooperate and we are forced to cancel the event we will let you know via email and on the Police Department Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/vernonhillspolice/)
