United Against Hate

Hate Has No Home Here

The Village of Vernon Hills joins with our neighbors in standing against hate.

The Village is one of many communities who have signed onto a joint statement expressing our collective message that we are all united against hate in all forms.

This message is not in response to any specific threats, and in fact there are no known specific threats for our communities at this time. Rather this message is meant to reinforce the importance of maintaining safe communities for all people. This is especially important now as we read reports of increased antisemitic and Islamophobic language, imagery and behavior. Public safety – for all people – is our highest priority, not only in Vernon Hills but across all communities, agencies and organizations.

If you are aware of actions that are threatening, dangerous, suspicious or concerning, please reach out. Dial 911 at any time. Please remember, when you see something, say something. In short, hate has no home here in Vernon Hills.

Please read the joint statement: United Against Hate, Cities and Villages Collaborate to Protect our Communities in Times of Strife
