Celebrating AANHPI Heritage

AANHPI Heritage Month

Beginning in 1992, the nation officially designated May as Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month.

Vernon Hills is home to an extremely strong and vibrant community of people who celebrate Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander heritage. The Village joins with the entire nation in recognizing the contributions and importance of this culturally and linguistically-diverse people who represent populations from many countries and islands.

The Village encourages all of us to not only recognize, celebrate and honor this important community, but to also learn more about the history and importance of AANHPI Heritage Month.
