Waste Management Acquisition of Advanced Disposal

On November 10, 2020, the Village received formal correspondence from Waste Management that Advanced Disposal (ADS) has been acquired through a merger.  This acquisition was monitored by the Department of Justice Antitrust Division and SWALCO, and recently completed on October 30, 2020.  Per Waste Management, in the near term, the drivers and trucks servicing Vernon Hills routes will remain; but in the longer term, starting during 2021, because ADS has become a wholly owned Waste Management subsidiary, the ADS trucks will be re-branded to include logos and colors reflecting the Waste Management brand.  The Village entered into a contract extension with ADS earlier this year with services and price rates secured through November 30, 2025.  Residents do not need to take any action.
