Village of Vernon Hills Consolidated Election on April 2, 2019

The Village of Vernon Hills Clerk’s Office has packet information from the Lake County Clerk for the April 2, 2019 Consolidated Election. The following is general information on the election filing process:

Notice of Filing Period:

September 18, 2018

First day to circulate nomination papers for the April 2, 2019 consolidated election is September 18. Petitions may not be circulated prior to this date. Petition forms may be picked up beginning September 17, 2018 at the Village Hall, Village Clerk’s Office, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, during regular business hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm.

December 10, 2018

First day to file nomination papers with the local election official located at Village Hall, Village Clerk’s Office, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, during regular business hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm. If there should be more than one person in line at 8:30am on December 10, a lottery will be held on December 19, at 9:00AM to determine candidate placement on the ballot.

December 17, 2018

Last day to file nomination papers with the local election official located at Village Hall, Village Clerk’s Office, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, until 5:00PM. If there should be more than one person in line between 4:00PM and 5:00PM on December 17, a lottery will be held December 19, at 9:10AM to determine candidate placement on the ballot.

December 19, 2018

Simultaneous Filing Lotteries, if necessary, will be held in the Village Hall, Village Clerk’s Office, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061 at 9:00am and 9:10am.

December 26, 2018

Last day to file an objection with the local election official located at Village Hall, Village Clerk’s Office, 290 Evergreen Drive, Vernon Hills, IL 60061 until 5:00pm.

Questions regarding the Municipal Election should be directed to the State Board of Elections.  A Candidate’s Guide can be obtained by calling the State Board of Elections at 312-814-6440 or on line at www.elections.il.gov. Municipal Elections are administered by the County Clerks. The Lake County Clerk’s Office website is www.lakecountyclerk.info and phone number is 847-377-2400.
