Welcome Officer Horn and Officer Hill

We are proud to introduce our two newest police officers. Officer Jorie Horn and Officer Adam Hill were sworn in on January 28.

Officer Horn grew up in Lake County, Indiana. She attended Crown Point High School and graduated from Indiana University with degrees in Criminal Justice and Dramatic Studies. 

Growing up in Villa Park, Officer Hill attended Willowbrook High School. He received a Political Science degree from Illinois State University.

Their training will begin shortly as both will attend fourteen-weeks of academy training at the Macon County Law Enforcement Training Center, followed by three-months of field training.  Both the academy training and field training are parts of their eighteen-months probation.

Congratulations Officer Horn and Officer Hill. Welcome to the Vernon Hills Police Departrment. We wish you a long and successful career here.
