S.M.A.R.T. Traffic Radar Trailer

S.M.A.R.T. Speed Monitoring Awareness Radar Trailer

The Speed Monitoring Awareness Radar Trailer (S.M.A.R.T.) is a device that the police department uses to assist in combating speeding vehicles and to remind daydreaming drivers to watch their speed.

Where S.M.A.R.T. Is Used

The Speed Monitoring Awareness Radar Trailer can be used in neighborhoods, school zones, construction sites, dangerous areas, or any other appropriate location to help promote compliance with the speed limit. The S.M.A.R.T. trailer is a portable, self-contained speed display unit that is towed to the desired location.

It is left on the roadway to display speeds of oncoming vehicles on a highly visible LED (light emitting diode) display. A speed limit sign mounted on the unit reminds drivers what the actual speed limit is on the road that they are on.

Additional Information

Due to the winter weather, the S.M.A.R.T. trailer will not be used during the months of November through March.
