RESOLUTION 2003-99

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSAL FOR LAKESIDE DRIVE STREET LIGHTING PROJECT FOR THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS FROM BENSON ELECTRIC, INC.

WHEREAS, Lakeside Drive, north of Cherry Valley Road is a part of the street rehabilitation program; and

WHEREAS, it is desired to replace the street light poles and foundations on Lakeside Drive as a part of the rehabilitation; and

WHEREAS, proposals were requested from three street light contractors who have completed significant work for the Village; and

WHEREAS, the work included removal and replacement of 14 street light foundations and installing new street light poles supplied by the Village; and

WHEREAS, the proposal from Benson Electric in the amount of $25,154 was the lowest and best proposal.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

That, the Village Board waives the formal bidding process, and approves the proposal from Benson Electric in the amount of $25,154; and

That, the Village Manger is authorized to sign the proposal, a Purchase Order will be issued to in the amount of $25,154 and the payments are made to the Benson Electric.
