RESOLUTION 2003-186

A RESOLUTION TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH PACE TO INSTALL AND MAINTAIN TWO (2) BUS SHELTERS ON BUTTERFIELD ROAD AND TO APPLY FOR A PERMIT FROM LAKE COUNTY RELATED TO THEIR INSTALLATION.

WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that bus shelters would be a benefit to our residents and may promote the use of public transportation; and

WHEREAS, these shelters will be placed upon the County’s right of way and is part of the Butterfield Road improvements; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

That the Village President or his designee have the authority to enter into an agreement with Pace to install and maintain two (2) bus shelters, one at Plymouth Farms Road and the other at Creekside Drive. And, that these shelters are to be placed upon concrete pads previously installed at these locations for this purpose and require a permit from the County of Lake.
