RESOLUTION  2003-160

 

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF NORTH AMERICAN SALT COMPANY TO FURNISH BULK ROCK SALT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $54,000.

 

 

            WHEREAS, the Illinois Department of Central Management Services awarded the bid to North American Salt Company Inc. for the purchase of bulk rock salt for maintenance of streets during the winter season; and

 

            WHEREAS, the Village of Vernon Hills will issue a purchase order to North American Salt Company Inc.; and

 

            WHEREAS, all purchases over $10,000 require Board of Trustee approval; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

 

THAT, the Village Manager is authorized to execute contracts to commit the Village to make payments to North American Salt Company Inc. not to exceed $54,000.
