RESOLUTION 2003-159

 

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT WITH UMBDENSTOCK ELECTRIC INC. TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY LOCATE SERVICES WITHIN THE VILLAGE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $5000.

 

WHEREAS, the 92nd General Assembly of the State of Illinois approved the amending of Public Act 92-0179 on July 27, 2001; and

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Vernon Hills operates underground facilities as defined in the Act; and

 

WHEREAS, when an underground excavation is needed for immediate repair or endangers public safety and or property an emergency locate is needed; and

 

WHEREAS, the Village desires to contract with Umbdenstock Electric Inc. to provide this emergency locate service as required in the J.U.L.I.E. agreement.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS, AS FOLLOWS:

 

THAT, the Village Board approves an agreement with Umbdenstock Electric Inc. subject to the attorney’s review, and authorizes the Village Manager to sign; and

 

THAT, it is requested to delineate monies in account 0102052-520620 for this work and a purchase order is issued to Umbenstock Electric Inc. not to exceed $5,000 for the budget year.
