RESOLUTION 2003-156

 

A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID FOR BITUMINOUS PAVEMENT PATCHING TO J. A. JOHNSON PAVING COMPANY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $75,000.

 

WHEREAS, three (3) bids for bituminous pavement patching were opened and read on September 30, 2003; and

 

WHEREAS, $75,000 is delineated in the current budget for this project; and

 

WHEREAS, J. A. Johnson Paving Company submitted the lowest total bid at $53,520; and

 

WHEREAS, the Public Works Department is requesting additional areas throughout the Village that were not outlined in the bid specifications to have pavement patching work performed on them.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY ILLINOIS:

 

THAT, the Village of Vernon Hills shall enter into a contract with J. A. Johnson Paving Company and the Village Manager is authorized to sign said contract; and

 

THAT, a purchase order will be issued in the amount not to exceed $75,000 for the work and the Village Manager is authorized to make payments based on the final unit quantities of work.
