RESOLUTION 2003-141

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF VERNON TOWNSHIP ROAD DISTRICT TO ASSIST THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS REGARDING SNOW REMOVAL FOR THE 2003-2004 WINTER SEASON IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $2,000.

WHEREAS, all professional service engagements, which require the expenditure of over $10,000, require Board of Trustee approval; and

AND WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that Vernon Township Road District is well suited for provision of snow removal in the Sugar Creek Subdivision, 800 feet of Prairie Road North of Indian Creek Bridge to Rt. 45, River Court, River Lane, and 350 feet of Port Clinton Road and;

AND WHEREAS, $2,000 was budgeted in account 0102040-520630 (Contractual Street Services) for this expense;

AND WHEREAS, a Purchase Order will be issued in the amount not to exceed $2,000;

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

That the Village Manager is authorized to sign the agreement to commit the Village to make payments based on a time and material basis and pay related expenses to Vernon Township Road District not to exceed $2,000.
