RESOLUTION 2003-137

 

A RESOLUTION APPROVING AN INTERGOVERNMENTAL COOPERATION CONTRACT WITH ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE RISK MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

 

 

WHEREAS, the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management Association (IMLRMA) provides the Village of Vernon Hills its insurance; and

 

WHEREAS, the IMLRMA Board of Directors has approved revisions to the original Intergovernmental Cooperation Contract dated 1980; and

 

WHEREAS, there have been changes in the self-insurance market and Illinois law that warrant these changes; and

 

WHEREAS, Illinois law now requires self-insurance pool members to execute a new Intergovernmental Contract at least once every 12 years; and

 

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

 

                     Authorize the Village President to sign the new Intergovernmental Cooperation Contract with the IMLRMA as approved by the IMLRMA Board of Directors on May 1, 2003.
