RESOLUTION 2003 - 136

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT COMMITTING THE VILLAGE TO PAY FOR CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS AT THE VILLAGE’S METRA STATION, BY METRA’S CONTRACTORS, AS DETAILED IN METRA’S AUGUST 20, 2003 LETTER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $132,000 FOR THE 2003--2005 FISCAL YEARS.

WHEREAS, the Village Board has determined that the Metra station is an integral part of the Village and that adding these improvements beyond the original scope of work will add value to our residents; and

WHEREAS, these improvements are listed in the letter from Metra dated August 20, 2003 and total $128,001.18 we hereby add a small construction contingency to cover unexpected issues.

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

That the Village President is hereby authorized to execute the agreement with Metra to add improvements, as noted in Metra’s August 20, 2003 letter and related contractors totaling $128,001.18, and that the Finance Department is authorized to make such payments to either Metra or related contractors in an amount not to exceed $132,000 for fiscal years 2003-2005.
