RESOLUTION 2003-133

A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF LM CONSULTANTS, INC. TO PROVIDE ADVANCED INSPECTION SERVICES DURING THE INSTALLATION OF THE EXTERIOR INSULATION AND FINISH SYSTEM (EIFS) ON THE AMLI RESIDENTIAL MUSEUM GARDENS PROJECT.

WHEREAS, all professional service engagements, which require the expenditure of over $10,000, require Board of Trustee approval; and

WHEREAS, LM Consultants, Inc. has submitted a proposal to monitor and certify the installation of the EIFS on the Amli Residential Museum Gardens project in accordance with approved plans and specifications; and

WHEREAS, Amli Residential, Inc. acknowledges the terms of the LM Consultant, Inc. proposal and agrees to reimburse the Village 100% of the cost invoiced by LM Consultants, Inc. to monitor and certify the EIFS installation; and

WHEREAS, Village Board of Trustees has determined that LM Consultants, Inc. is well suited for monitoring the installation of the EIFS and recognizes Amli Residential, Inc. commitment to reimburse the Village for all costs invoiced by LM Consultants, Inc. to certify the EIFS is installed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications; and

NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

That the Village Manager is hereby authorized to execute the contracts to commit the Village to make payments to LM Consultants, Inc. not to exceed the rates outlined in Exhibit “B”, Schedule of Fees, as specified in the Consultant Services Agreement and attached hereto.
