RESOLUTION 2003-127

A RESOLUTION AMENDING RESOLUTION 2003-99 TO BENSON ELECTRIC, INC. FOR LAKESIDE DRIVE STREET LIGHTING PROJECT FOR THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS INCREASING THE PURCHASE ORDER FROM $25,154.00 TO $25,629.50

WHEREAS, Lakeside Drive, north of Cherry Valley Road is a part of the street rehabilitation program;

AND WHEREAS, it is desired to replace the street light poles and foundations on Lakeside Drive as a part of the rehabilitation;

AND WHEREAS, proposals were requested from three street light contractors who have completed significant work for the Village;

AND WHEREAS, the work included removal and replacement of 14 street light foundations and installing new street light poles supplied by the Village;

AND WHEREAS, the proposal from Benson Electric in the amount of $25,154 was the lowest and best proposal;

AND WHEREAS, additional foundation removals were required;

AND WHEREAS, relocation of a street light base was required due to a conflict with a Lake County Public Works water main;

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

THAT the Board authorizes approval to increase Purchase Order # 977 by $475.50 from $25,154.00 to $25,629.50;

AND THAT, the Village Manger is authorized to make payments to Benson Electric, Inc.
