RESOLUTION 2003-126

 

A RESOLUTION AWARDING THE BID TO J.F. EDWARDS CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR THE VILLAGE WIDE STREET LIGHT MODIFICATION, PHASE V

FOR THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS

 

WHEREAS, the Village of Vernon Hills Public Works Department budgeted $125,000.00 for this fiscal year in account #0209087-550050 (of which $124,181.00 will be used on this project) and for this fiscal year budgeted $275,000.00 in account # 0209088-550050 (Fairway Drive Street Construction Project) (of which $31,375.00 will be used for street lighting work as part of this overall project) for the contractual service of Village Wide Street Light Modifications, Phase V; and

 

WHEREAS, bids for the contract were opened July 28, 2003 and four bids were received and J.F. Edwards Construction Company was the low bidder;

 

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

 

That the bid is awarded and the Village President, Village Manager, Assistant Village Manager or their designee is authorized to sign a contract with J.F. Edwards Construction Company for the fiscal year 2003-2004 for a total amount of $155,556.00; and

 

That Purchase Orders will be issued to J.F. Edwards Construction Company in a total amount not to exceed $155,556.00 and the Village Manager or their designee is authorized to make payments.
