RESOLUTION 2003-118

A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE PROPOSED HOLIDAY LIGHT SHOW ROUTE ON THE CUNEO MUSEUM GROUNDS

WHEREAS, four meetings have been held with the Pinehurst HOA and the Gregg’s Landing South HOA regarding the proposed Holiday Light Show Route; and

WHEREAS, three meetings were held with John Cuneo and the Cuneo Foundation staff; and

WHEREAS, the staff has met with the Illinois Department of Transportation to use the new Milwaukee Avenue at Hollister Drive for the Light Show exit; and

WHEREAS, a plan dated March 26, 2003 was presented to the Committee of the Whole on July 1, 2003 based on comments and concerns of the above meetings.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

The President and Board of Trustees hereby approve the Holiday Light Show Plan dated March 26, 2003; and

Authorize the staff to proceed with the Cuneo Foundation agreement and construction of the new route.
