ORDINANCE 2003-81

 

AN ORDINANCE DECLARING CERTAIN VILLAGE PROPERTY TO BE SURPLUS & PROVIDING FOR DISPOSAL BY SALVAGE

 

WHEREAS, it has been determined according to the state statutes and Village ordinances by the corporate authorities of the Village of Vernon Hills that there exist certain surplus property of minimal value; and

 

WHEREAS, the corporate authorities desire to dispose of such surplus property.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, LAKE COUNTY, ILLINOIS:

 

SECTION I. The following property of the Village of Vernon Hills is found and declared to be surplus namely.

               

1.  1989 Buick LeSabre VIN # 1G4HP54C6KH413217

 

                                                SECTION II. SEVERABILITY.  In the event that a Court of competent jurisdiction shall find any word, phrase or portion of this ordinance invalid, such determination shall not affect the validity of the remainder of this ordinance.

 

                SECTION III. REPEAL AND SAVINGS CLAUSE.  All ordinances or portions of ordinances, in conflict with this ordinance shall be and are hereby repealed but to say extent only and except as so repealed, all other ordinances shall be and remain in full force and effect.

 

                SECTION IV. EFFECTIVE DATE.  The ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication according to law.
 
                SECTION V.  PUBLICATION.  This ordinance shall be published in pamphlet form in the manner provided by law.

 

                SECTION VI.   ORDINANCE NUMBER.  This ordinance shall be known as Ordinance 2003-81.
