ORDINANCE NO. 2003- 52
AN
ORDINANCE FOR DEDICATION OF RIGHT OF WAY FOR PUBLIC ROAD PURPOSES GENERALLY
ALONG FAIRWAY DRIVE, VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS.
WHEREAS, the Village of Vernon Hills has determined that it is in the
public interest to improve the intersection of Fairway Drive/Prairie Road and
U.S. Route 45 and has approved this project through Resolution 2000-26; and
WHEREAS, the Village of Vernon Hills has determined that it is in the
public interest to dedicate as described in Exhibit A a certain right-of-way
for public road and transportation purposes; and
WHEREAS, there exists certain real
property, located generally alongside Fairway Drive, in the Village of Vernon
Hills, Illinois; and
WHEREAS, the
Property is located entirely within the corporate limits of the municipality;
and
WHEREAS, there exists a
parcel of real property located generally alongside Fairway Drive and U.S.
Route 45, in the Village of Vernon Hills, Illinois, whose common address is
Outlot M in Ranney Addition to Vernon Hills.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE PRESIDENT
AND BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS, COUNTY OF LAKE AND STATE
OF ILLINOIS:
SECTION I. Preambles Incorporated. The above preambles are hereby incorporated by reference.
SECTION
II.
Dedication of Right of Way for
Public Road Purposes. The Village
of Vernon Hills has determined that for the purposes of public road and
transportation, including but not limited to traffic safety and traffic flow
patterns, and for the widening of Fairway Drive, the Village of Vernon Hills
should dedicate a Right of Way;
Approval. The
Village Board hereby approves and
authorizes the Village President to execute the Dedication in order to dedicate
the Right of Way. The Village Board
hereby approves and authorizes the execution of any and all documents necessary
for the Dedication of the Property by the Village President.
SECTION IV. Effective Date. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and publication as provided by law.
SECTION V. Ordinance Number. This
ordinance shall be known as Ordinance Number 2003-52.
