MINUTES

COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING

VILLAGE OF VERNON HILLS

SEPTEMBER 17, 2002

IN ATTENDANCE: President Byrne called the meeting to order at 9:10 p.m. The following Trustees were present: Duros, Hebda, Henley, Koch, Ryg, and Williams.

Also present were Manager Allison, Assistant Manager Kalmar, Assistant to the Manager Teich, Public Works Director Laudenslager, Finance Director Nakrin, Building Commissioner Gerth, Village Engineer Brown, Chief Fleischhauer, Corporation Counsel Citron, and Village Clerk Schwartz.

1. APPROVAL OF 8/20/02 COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES.

Motion by Trustee Henley, second by Trustee Williams to approve the 8/20/02 Committee of the Whole minutes. Roll call vote:

AYES: 6 – Duros, Hebda, Henley, Koch, Ryg, Williams

NAYS: 0 – None

Motion declared carried.

2. AMENDMENT TO THE SIGN ORDINANCE

Motion by Trustee Ryg, second by Trustee Hebda to approve the amendments to the sign ordinance Chapter 19, Section 19-5(7). Roll call vote:

AYES: 6 – Hebda, Henley, Koch, Ryg, Williams, Duros

NAYS: 0 – None

Motion declared carried.

3. ADJOURNMENT

Motion by Trustee Duros, second by Trustee Hebda to adjourn the Committee of the Whole meeting and go into executive session for the purpose of land acquisition and litigation. Roll call vote:

AYES: 6 – Henley, Koch, Ryg, Williams, Duros, Hebda

NAYS: 0 – None

Motion declared carried.
