The Village of Vernon Hills in cooperation with the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County (SWALCO) will sponsor an electronics disposal on April 30th. The event will be held at the Vernon Hills Public Works facility located at 490 Greenleaf Drive from 8:00AM to 11:00 AM.
For disposal of household chemical waste and recycling information in Lake County please contact SWALCO .
All items must be free of any packaging material and operating manuals.
Accepted Items:
Personal Computers, Monitors, Computer Drives, Keyboards, Modems, Mainframes, Scanners, Printers, PDA Organizers, Cellular Phones, Televisions, Stereos, MP3 Players, CD Players, DVD Players, VCR’s, Cameras, Video Games, Fax Machines, Shredders, and Small Household Appliances.Items NOT Accepted:
Broken Glass, Air Conditioners, Dehumidifiers, Large Household Appliances, Batteries, Electric Fixtures, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, Compact Disks, Software Disks, Tapes, Liquid or Chemical Waste, and Packaging Materials.
