Operation Freedom Calls
 The GLMV Area Chamber of Commerce, in conjunction with TDS Metrocom, Freedom Calls Foundation, and the Vernon Hills Police Department, is providing free video teleconferencing to all families who have soldiers serving in three cities in Iraq: Fallujah, Taji and Al Asad. The joint project is called Operation Freedom Calls (also known as Operation Connect).
Thanks to TDS Metrocom, a local telecommunications provider, all high speed internet access and technical support has been provided free of charge. Appointments are necessary to schedule the teleconference at the Vernon Hills Police Station, 740 Lakeview Parkway, Vernon Hills.
