July 22, 2010 - Have you ever wondered what it's like to be a police officer?  Do you wish you knew more about why a police officer does the things he/she does?  If you're a Vernon Hills resident over the age of 21, now's your chance to find out!

Our next Citizen's Police Academy will be starting Wednesday, September 1 and will run from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm every Wednesday until November 17.  Every week we talk about a diffent topic, such as Traffic Stops, Evidence Collection, Firearms Training and Rapid Deployment.  We'll answer all your questions and even let you go on duty with an officer.
