February 8, 2010 - In January, 2010, the Village of Vernon Hills received approval from Metra to increase the parking fee from $1.50 to $1.75 per day for all spaces - daily and long term parking. The bi-monthly pass will increase from $50 to $55, effective Monday, March 1, 2010 for the March/April 2010 pass.
The Village recognizes that this is not a good time to increase any fees; however, even with the increase, the parking lot revenues only cover 57% of the operating and capital costs of running and maintaining the parking facility.
