June 18, 2010 - Back on Sunday, June 6, members of the Vernon Hills Police Department (and some family members) ran in the Annual Law Enforcement Torch Run (as we do every year). Here are a couple of pictures:
And this is why we do it:
Vernon Hills resident, John Sr., brought his son, John Jr. to the Special Olympics Summer Games at Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois this past weekend. He advised us that the Torch Run broke the fundraising record by raising $2,700,000 this year! The smiles on those faces makes it all worth it!
