February 23, 2012 - The Vernon Hills Police Department's Explorer Post 2911 is looking for new recruits to join the troop. Boys and girls ages 14 to 21, who live in the area and are interested in knowing, in detail, what being a police officer is all about, should contact our Explorer Post to get more information! The Post generally meets every other Tuesday, with training topics running from Traffic Stops to Defensive Tactics to Rapid Deployment.
