March 1, 2011 - The Lincolnshire Police Department has issued a warning regarding a phone scam. A resident received a phone call from what she thought was a relative asking for money for car repairs. The woman realized it was scam... but too late. She had already sent money.
Please, do not respond to unsolicited calls asking for money! If you think it may be legitimate, check it out before you send money (call another relative; ask the person for a call-back number; call your local police department; anything you can think of before sending money).
