At the Vernon Hills Police Department, we pride ourselves on the amount of charitable work we do for several causes throughout the community and beyond. All totaled for 2010, we raised $14,981 to donate to several different charities. In addition, Police Department personnel volunteered hundreds of hours of their time to put these events together and make them a success.
Listed below are some of the events/causes supported by VHPD members which have raised over $3,100 so far in 2011:
2/27/11 - The VHPD Takes the Polar Plunge
This annual event has become a mainstay to help raise money for the Special Olympics.
