10/19/08 - Welcome Home Dmitriy Ostrovskiy!
USMC Lance Corporal Dmitriy Ostrovskiy was officially welcomed home from Iraq by the VHPD and Village Board.

8/5/08 - Another Successful National Night Out
The 13th annual end-of-the-summer PD event had plenty to do for all and drew a record crowd.

7/20/08 - 'Run From The Cops' 5K 
The inaugural walk/run draws a much larger than expected crowd and becomes the Department's top fund-rasier.

7/15/08 - Welcome Jennifer Weber
A new officer is sworn in.

6/15/08 - Welcome Home Josh Gauiran!

The Illinois Department of Natural Resources outlines ways to keep coyotes away from populated areas.
