Pat Zimmerman Named Commander of the L.C.M.C.T.F.
PZ.jpgCommander Pat Zimmerman of the Vernon Hills Police Department was recently named to command the Lake County Major Crime Task Force. The L.C.M.C.T.F. is comprised of members from over 30 law enforcement agencies who work together to investigate the most serious of crimes that occur in Lake County.

Commander Zimmerman has been a police officer for nearly 23 years.  Pat has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Western Illinois University and earned a Master’s Degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration from Western Illinois University in 2005.  Pat is also a graduate of the Southern Police Institute’s three-month Administrative Officers Course in Louisville, KY.

Pat has served as a Commander with the Vernon Hills Police Department for the past six years, and has been the Commander of Investigations for the past four years.

Commander Zimmerman has extensive experience working with multi-agency task forces.  Most recently, he worked with members of NORTAF to help organize and coordinate a multi-agency task force to address several residential burglary crews plaguing Cook, Lake, DuPage and Kendall Counties. This task force led to the arrests of two separate burglary crews this past winter.

Congratulations Commander Zimmerman!
