BASSET Refresher Classes
Many thanks to representatives from the more than 50 Vernon Hills liquor license establishments that took the time to attend the annual BASSET refresher classes in February, 2016.

Those in attendance heard from Lee Roupas, Manager of the BASSSET Program for the Illinois Liquor Control Commission, one of our BASSET instructors (either Carlos Morales or Eric Felten from Creative Hospitality Associates), Monica Lundeen from the Village Clerk's Office, and the Countryside Fire Protection District. (See photos below.)

Even though it is required by ordinance, we understand how hard it can be to take time out of an already busy day. We hope that you will continue to be diligent in your efforts to ensure the responsible selling and serving of alcohol in your establishment.

On behalf of everyone who either lives, shops, works or dines in Vernon Hills.... Thank You!

BASSET Refresher Class

The annual BASSET (Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training) Refresher Course, hosted by the Vernon Hills Police Department, is mandatory for an establishment to renew its liquor license. Failure to attend the class will result in a rejection of your application.

Vernon Hills Village Ordinance 3-19(b) requires one representative from each establishment to attend the annual training. For your convenience, we schedule two classes on different days and times to better accommodate your schedule.

Class Dates and Location
The 2017 refresher classes will be held in late January or early February, 2017. Class registration and location information will be mailed out in mid-December, 2016.
