Support the Vernon Hills Summer Celebration The Village of Vernon Hills prides itself on our sense of community pride. A strong component of that philosophy is providing quality family-style events that attract thousands of residents, as well as employees and families from surrounding communities. The Village has become well known for its Fourth of July Events, Summer Celebration, the Holiday Festival of Lights, and Arbortheater Concert Series, all of which act as a way to promote the entire community. The Village has had a little known sponsorship program called “Cultural Partners”. As a Cultural Partner, your company can benefit from ongoing publicity associated with each Village sponsored event as well as many other incentives and little “perks” for your employees and staff. Your level of exposure will depend on your company’s level of financial commitment. In an exchange for a contribution to the Village Arts and Entertainment fund, a Cultural Partner, receives high-profile recognition, exposure and advertising at local events and functions for your generosity to the Vernon Hills Cultural Partners program. We hope we can look to for your organizations participation as the Cultural Partners Program this year. Imagine having free publicity at the following events! Summer Celebration: The second largest annual carnival/music event in Lake County, featuring four days of music, family carnival rides, bingo tent, and opening evening fireworks. Summer Celebration takes place every year in mid July. Persons with VIP tickets enter the VIP tent for free. The tent provides guests with free food, beverages, and a chance to meet other Vernon Hills business owners, executives, elected/appointed officials, and residents. Please note that the VIP tent event is only on opening night of Summer Celebration. This event brings in over 65,000 people. Holiday Festival of Lights: Northern Illinois’ largest festival of lights is held at the Cuneo Museum and Grounds between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Eve. Groups and families of all ages tour the grounds by the carload to enjoy the displays. In 2010, over 20,000 cars passed through the gates to enjoy this awesome display of lights. Fourth of July Parade: More than just a parade, this daylong celebration culminates in a fantastic display of fireworks at Centennial Park. The parade features marching units, bands, civic leaders, local groups and organizations and attendance averages 8,000 people. The evening events and fireworks show is observed by thousands. Arbortheater Concert Series: The Village’s Arbortheater, located on N. Fairway Drive in the Continental Executive Park, is home to a delightful amphitheater and eight well attended musical concerts held throughout the summer from May to September. Each concert draws the attention of approximately 600 people Thank you for your time. The Village of Vernon Hills hosts numerous events through the year that support non-profit agencies throughout Lake County such as the American Cancer Society, Parent teacher organizations, Lions Club, etc… If your organization would like to make a monetary donations of less than $1,500 or contributions in kind for a specific event please contact Monica Lundeen at 847-367-3700. Donations can consist of food items for the Relay for Life Luncheon or raffle items for the Oktoberfest.
