Thursday & Friday September 2nd & 3rd from 8am to 4pm and Saturday September 4th from 8am to 12 Furniture (including a roll top desk, dresser, and more), paintings, rugs, new and used household items, lots of clothes including new leather and suede jackets, designer dresses, tons of jeans, hoodies, electronic equipment, books, cds and much more.

HOA's and Subdivisions wishing to have a community sale are asked
to provide a contact person for residents. If a listing of all sales is provided by the contact person, the Village will create a map of all sale locations to be downloaded from the web site.

VILLAGE CODE PROHIBITS MORE THAN 3 GARAGE SALES ON THE
SAME PREMISES WITH IN A CALENDAR YEAR
GARAGE SALE SIGNAGE IS ENFORCED, SO PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Permits are no longer required for garage sales effective February 7, 2006.

Signs can not exceed 3 square feet and are limited to the address and arrows and the words "Garage/Yard Sale"

Signs can be posted for a period of 7 days and must be removed by 9:00 PM on the last day

Signs cannot be placed on or in the public right-of-way or any other public property (the grassy area between the sidewalk & curb. (If there is no sidewalk it should be at least 15 feet from the curb)

Do not place signs on telephone poles, fences or parked cars. Balloons and streamers are not allowed

Do not display your sale items on the public sidewalk, in the street or on the grassy area between the street and sidewalk
In the event you have placed your signs in the wrong location, the Vernon Hills Police Department or Code Enforcement Officials will remove your signs and you may be subject to a fine. Please feel free to call 367-3700 should you have any further questions or concerns.
